January 2015<\/span><\/p>\n

Dear PTH Friends,<\/span><\/p>\n

Happy New Year!\u00a0 Yes, that is a declaration … it will be a happy new year for those who stay in His redemptive rest … while at war.\u00a0 Yes, the sun will rise on the evil and the good, and it will rain on the righteous and unrighteous (Matt. 5:45).\u00a0 Regardless the weather or storms of circumstances we will be faced with …. \u201cwhatever war\u201d …. we will have His rest & peace if we move with His Spirit. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is an exuberance about this year, yet there is also a weighty urgency to be ever so sensitive to the Holy Spirit and keeping one another hedged up with unceasing prayer.\u00a0 As the Lord gave Nancy a word recently:\u00a0 \u201cLeave nothing to chance.\u201d \u00a0 To me that say …. \u201cLeave nothing to chance!!!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I love the ingredients found in Romans 12:12 … a no-fail recipe: \u201cBe joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.\u201d\u00a0 The statement \u201cFaithful in Prayer\u201d in Greek is: proskarterountes.\u00a0 If you are anything like me … proskarterountes is still like the expression \u201cGreek to me!\u201d\u00a0 … but this is what \u201cfaithful in prayer\u201d means:\u00a0 \u201cIt is a present, continuous tense of a very strong word.\u00a0 It implies persistence, perseverance and insistence.\u00a0 The Bible recognizes that most of us will have a struggle, not only to keep in an attitude of prayer, but also to spend real time in prayer\u00a0 We are exhorted to be diligent and faithful in prayer since it is our access to God for a life of spiritual intimacy and is the means by which God advances His kingdom.\u201d (Life in the Spirit Study Bible, NIV, Zondervan\/Word Study Ro. 12:12).<\/span><\/p>\n

No doubt we all want the latter part of \u201cfaithful in prayer\u201d:\u00a0 access to God, spiritual intimacy, and advancing His kingdom.\u00a0 Yet, we must also contend for it and generally we have to war for it.\u00a0 It requires persistence, perseverance, and insistence … \u201creal time\u201d and diligence.\u00a0 Yes, war has a cost … freedom is worth the battle!<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is a reality:\u00a0 Our enemy of war has little interest in our matters unless we are led by the Spirit, believing AND walking in the promises of the infallible word of God.\u00a0 Think of Peter:\u00a0 He wrote a second letter as a reminder to believers \/ friends (2 Peter 3:1).\u00a0 The basic theme of 1 Peter is suffering for the cause of Christ;\u00a0 2 Peter includes instructions to virtually the same group of believers regarding false teachers.\u00a0 It is no secret the devil is the father of lies (John 8:44), and he has a specific job description: steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).\u00a0 Yet, Peter had to write a again … second letter to encourage and remind seasoned believers.\u00a0 He even said in 2 Peter 1:12, \u201cSo I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.\u201d \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To me this is a form of:\u00a0 \u201cLeave nothing to chance.\u201d\u00a0 Peter goes on to say in 2 Peter 2:1, \u201cBut there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you.\u201d\u00a0 And catch this:\u00a0 …. \u201cThey will secretly introduce heresies….\u201d\u00a0 (Heresies – opinions, beliefs, free thinking, a religious or philosophical sect.) \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What does this have to do with 2015?\u00a0 The enemy would love to wear us out … wear us down … keep us from God\u2019s redemptive rest!\u00a0 Peter recognized that even seasoned believers needed reminders to \u201cbe aware\u201d because … guess what – false teachers are going to be SECRETLY introducing teaching(s) that do not completely line up with the Word of God.\u00a0 These teachers are going to be in the churches … in conferences … in the writings, etc. \u00a0 And it won\u2019t be obvious!\u00a0 They are not going to be announced as \u201cfalse teachers\u201d…. they are going to come \u201csecretly.\u201d\u00a0 My guess is that some will even be advertised as \u201canointed teachers\u201d, etc.\u00a0 Here is my interpretation of \u201ca gifted teacher \/ the anointing of teaching\u201d:\u00a0 It really boils down to the skill or ability of being able to take any concept, or any \u201cbelief\u201d and break it down so all learners understand; making it believable and acceptable to all – right or wrong.\u00a0 The difference is, what the Spirit behind the teaching?\u00a0 \u00a0 Hence, we personally, regardless of our seasoning, must be in HIS WORD, eyes fixed on the Author and Finisher of our faith, led by the Spirit of the Living God.\u00a0 Consider this:\u00a0 If people of \u201cmore noble character\u201d than other believers\/followers of Paul found it necessary to examine the scriptures daily after listening to teachings from the great Apostle Paul, and in the synagogues – \u201cthe church\u201d no doubt, then I believe we should take note! (Acts 17:11).\u00a0 Simple reminders, like Peter gave believers because the false teachers \/ prophets are \u201camong\u201d us (2 Peter 2:1). \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Like I stated earlier, the enemy has no interest in our matters unless we are heading in the right direction and building the Kingdom of God.\u00a0 Having said that, we, PTH ministries recognize we are about to engage in a war of greater depth.\u00a0 Hence 2015 Theme: Raise the War Cry!\u00a0 We have a great war weapon in the power of agreement!\u00a0 Abraham Lincoln embraced it in his \u201cHouse Divided Speech\u201d (1858)… but God said it first in Mark 3:24,25).\u00a0 \u201cIf a kingdom is divided agains itself, that kingdom cannot stand.\u00a0 If a house is divided agains itself, that house cannot stand.\u201d \u00a0We cannot be defeated when we agree on God\u2019s Word.<\/span><\/p>\n

On a personal level, lend yourself to \u201cBe a David\u201d – be very sensitive to allow God to search your heart.\u00a0 Is there anything in your heart, home, influence, etc. that is not in agreement?\u00a0 Let us be led by His Spirit to guide us so that we come into agreement so that when we go to war … continue in war, we hold the power of agreement … AND can rely on one another (Ecc. 4:9-12).<\/span><\/p>\n

I know I included the below strategy in a recent PTH website post, but it is a clear prayer strategy the Lord gave Nancy for 2015; As we head into war: <\/span>
\n1)\u00a0 Place a Hedge of Protection<\/strong>: Start praying a hedge of protection\u00a0(Job 1:9)<\/span>
\n2)\u00a0 Declare A Bulwark<\/strong>:\u00a0 Bulwark is a wall of protection \u2013 pray it around yourself and others.\u00a0 (Ps. 91:4)<\/span>
\n3)\u00a0 Set A Wall of Fire<\/strong>; Protection (Zech 2:5) <\/span>
\n4)\u00a0 ASK God<\/strong>: Ask for angels to attend to you; ministering angels<\/span>
\n(Matt. 4:11)\u00a0 <\/span>
\n5)\u00a0 Communion<\/strong>:\u00a0 Do this in remembrance of ME:\u00a0 take communion daily and leave nothing to chance (Mk 14:22, 23)<\/span><\/p>\n

Please, if the Lord shows you anything: dreams \/ visions, scriptures, words, etc., I encourage you to e-mail them to myself and \/ or Nancy. … even if it doesn\u2019t make sense to you or you may not have the interpretation. <\/span>
\n\u00a0<\/span>
\nNancy is about to begin the itinerary schedule in Georgia and South Carolina (Jan.-Feb. – see website for details: www.pointtohope.org) The January GA conference is just around the corner.\u00a0 Please target all areas of need for the conference:\u00a0 workshop speakers, worship, traveling mercies, prayer shield, complete unity and agreement, sound \/ technical needs, housing, health, etc., etc., etc. \u00a0Your prayers for Point To Hope Ministries are so appreciated and I can\u2019t emphasize enough, the need for prayer coverage for Nancy during this time of ministry.<\/strong> \u00a0The Lord has given her a powerful message for this year and we do not want to be found in war without being clothed in His Word.\u00a0 Pray for supernatural physical and spiritual strength for Nancy and she brings forth the word!<\/span><\/p>\n

\n–\u00a0 A vast army is coming against you (vs. 2)<\/span>
\n–\u00a0 Inquire of the Lord (vs. 3)<\/span>
\n–\u00a0 The people came together to seek help from the Lord; indeed, they came from every town to seek Him (vs. 4)<\/span>
\n–\u00a0 Declaration to the Lord:\u00a0 \u201cPower and might are in YOUR hand and no one can withstand YOU\u201d (vs. 6)<\/span>

\nEmbassy Report:\u00a0 Washington DC (12\/28-30\/14)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Below is just a quick note regarding the visit to various embassies in Washington DC.\u00a0 As many of you know, when the Lord calls Nancy to a country, He first calls her to the embassy of the country in Washington DC.\u00a0 We (Nancy and myself, Sarah) went to the below embassies, but the time\/season of travel to these countries is still in the making. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the mean time, below you will find a few prayer directions for these countries and \/ or other details:<\/span><\/p>\n

Israel: \u00a0<\/span>
\n\u00a0Rev. 2:17 \u201cWhoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.\u201d<\/span>
\npray for Israel to call upon the Lord and rely on His strength; His Spirit, His Word, His Son.<\/span>

\nlots of shattered glass:\u00a0 the Lord said He would show the root of it …. it is a wreck \/ an accident about to take place<\/span><\/p>\n
