Purposed & Positioned for ‘Foolish Thing’

Singapore Parliament 6.14.16

(Singapore Parliament)

Dear PTH Friends,

Since the last post (from Port Moresby, PNG), we have been to the following parliaments:  Dili, Timor-Leste (6/10); Singapore (6/14);  Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (6/16).  Today, we are in Colombo, SriLanka and heading to the designated place of prayer later today.

Your prayer coverage has literally moved mountains and paved a way for Nancy and I to get to the eastern gates of the parliaments – the specific place the Lord has assigned for the prayer strategies over the nations.

Intellectually speaking, it seems too simple, doesn’t it?  But this is what God’s Word has to say in His realm of reasoning:  “But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty].”  (1 Cor. 1:27/AMP).

“Foolish” things???   In searching out ‘foolish’ from the Greek meaning, I came across the following descriptions for foolish:  flat and insipid.  Hmmmmm??? Insipid?  How peculiar when thinking insipid means lacking interest, or shallow works.

So, imagine this:  Your prayers are making-way clear across the globe so that two people can stand at an eastern gate to proclaim God’s Word, repent and declare on behalf of a nation, God’s purposes prevail … (simply put).  To the world, this would easily be viewed as ‘shallow work’!  To the world, praying for such an assignment would be easily viewed as ‘lacking interest’.  After all, the actual prophetic act of what the Lord has asked Nancy to do really only takes minutes, give or take.   Yes, to the world this would definitely be considered a ‘foolish’ thing.  But God says, this is what HE has selected to use as a means to shame the wise (reveal ignorance).

Your prayers are for the purpose and positioning of the ‘foolish things’.  Crazy right! 🙂 … Remember in Acts, chapter 13 ??? … the story of Paul and others sent out by the Holy Spirit… At first the ‘religious’ leaders we gung-ho … but in the end, those same ‘religious people’ became scoffers / despisers of what the Holy Spirit was speaking through Paul.  And what happened in the end??? … (verse 46) Boldness increase, (Verse 52) and the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit!

Kualu Lumpru,MalaysiaHow has your prayer positioned this ‘foolishness’?  Listen to this:  When Nancy and I arrived in the taxi at one of the parliaments we were met by a closed gate … in fact, security personnel met our taxi before we even got to the gate and set foot on the ground ….  We were told “NO ENTRY” … and before we could even come up with Plan B, the security said, “Yes, come … but only to the clock” … which was just beyond the security guard post … “and only few minutes!”  Well, that was all we needed!  And here is another miracle at this same parliament.  This was a city, populated with millions of people, and it felt like most of them were on the road with us… just saying – there was extreme traffic congestion! Furthermore, we had no idea the direction we would be approaching the parliament (north, east, south, or west) …. Remember, we could only go a few steps inside the gate … and would you believe (of course you would) – we arrived at the EASTERN GATE!  Only God!!! The power of your prayers!

Now, that is what I call God using the foolish things to shame the wise!  We couldn’t have planned it better if we tried – but God put your prayers into action …. Purposed and positioned for the ‘foolish thing’!!!

Thank you, thank you thank you!  Your prayers do matter and they bring shame to the wise!

Nancy and I are ready to journey to our next parliament to pray today.   The next sever countries are critical and as you can see … your prayers are purposed and do in fact, position!

Blessings to all!

Sincerely,
Sarah Tarter,
