Greetings from the “Lands”

November 17, 2016

Dear PTH Friends,

Greetings from Greenland … at least for another couple hours as we are preparing to depart from Nuuk, Greenland back to Reykjavik, Iceland (for about a 6 hour layover).  Then, we continue through New York, Boston and onto Nova Scotia; arriving Friday the 18th.  After Nova Scotia, we will be in Ottawa, Canada (Nov. 20-22).

icelandWe prayed at the parliament in Iceland on 11/13 and Greenland yesterday (11/16).  The weather, to be honest, made it feel like home in Alaska 🙂 …. Iceland felt like Southeast Alaska (rainy), and Greenland felt like home (slight snow flurries).

Nancy I have felt the power of your prayers through this journey.  We were delayed (airline technical reasons) a day in Iceland on our way to Nuuk, Greenland.  However, we were able to continue our stay at the same hotel and fly out the next day (Tues.).

The good news, is that the local airport in Reykjavik was just 10 minutes from our hotel and the check-in process is kind of like bush Alaska …. one small airport … one check in counter … very simplified.

It was kind of funny because from the time we arrived at the airport to the time we stepped out of the airport to board our plane the weather had changed drastically …. huge gusts of winds and snow flurries … and a pretty small plane 🙂 … As we sat on the runway shifting back and forth – dancing with the wind, I think both Nancy and I wondered what the turbulence would be like once in the air.  Still, we knew we were in good Hands and this weather was common to these pilots.  And would you believe, when we were airborne, the flight was pretty smooth.

I want to include a picture of a map we received from some of the intercessors.  We were so blessed.  I know so many of you have literally pulled out a map and are prayerfully going before our physical journey…. You all have made the difference!  You may or may not have literally pulled the map out, but your prayers have hemmed us in and surrounded the plans and purposes the Lord has for His world.  And we are so grateful for your prayers.

Blessings to all … we love and miss you all!

Sincerely,

Sarah Tarter
