Old & New Buds

Dear PTH Friends,

It is hard to believe it has been a month since the Anchorage Point To Hope Holy Spirit Encounter Conference. It was great to see old and new PTH ‘buddies.’ As you can see pictured above, many of the PTH team were able to attend. However, we sure missed the PointToHopers and other buddies who were not able to attend … but we sure experienced your prayer coverage. Thank you!

PTH also had its first “Coffee House Gathering” on May 12th. It was an informal afternoon gathering with worship and Nancy shared a message titled “Preparing for Pentecost.” We reserved a gathering room at 12•100 Coffee & Communitas (Anchorage). Watch the PTH website event calendar for the next gathering (July 21, 2018/Saturday).

Nancy and I leave for Africa in the wee hours Saturday, May 26th. We will be back in Alaska July 11th. As I write this, I cannot tell you the exact countries we will be covering, but I think there are approximately 20, give or take a few. I can’t tell you because I don’t know myself :). Still, we so covet your prayers.

Recently I heard of two different testimonies of individuals who were being pursued by ‘enemies’ with the indent of killing them. They later found out the reason they were not killed was because the enemy could see angels of protection surrounding them.

“For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” (Ps. 91:11/NIV) Thank you in advance for your prayer coverage; it is powerful and effective!

Song of Solomon 2:11 “See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone.”

We are in a new season, can you sense it?! April 4, 2018, Nancy and I went to Mt. Tabor in Israel; the place of transfiguration. I mentioned it briefly in a recent PTH report (“You & Working for Homeland Security). Well, the Lord did give Nancy a transfiguration anointing to impart to others. We have been hearing testimonies from some who were able to attend the Anchorage conference and receive this ‘transfiguration impartation.’ Thus, being transfigured means walking in a new place. This also means walking in an unfamiliar place … and, it is a process. Kind of like the time lapse between seasons: the old is gone but the new has not yet arrived. The snow has melted but the new buds are still hidden. Then, all of a sudden, the new ‘green’ appears! And growth comes quickly! And, might I also say, growth is not necessarily easy! So if you are one who feels like you are being pushed through a birth canal …. be like a leaf: “hang in there”; catch the Son and the Wind of the Holy Spirit! Increased spiritual growth equates to ‘less flesh.’ Thus, I guess we could say, “Ah, it hurts so good!”

Again, thank you for your prayer coverage. If we are able to post specific countries we are going to, we will. Otherwise if may have to be after the fact. I have heard of some intercessors who use a map for a prayer strategy and ‘travel’ with us. Go before us, with us, and behind us with your prayers!

Blessings to all! You are so valued, significant, and appreciated. Makes me think of Anna in the Bible. I wonder if she ever realized the power of her prayers. She was a widow – alone; she never left the temple, but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. (Luke 2:37) Here is the good news to us (in a round about way): We can’t leave the temple – His temple is within us!

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Sarah Tarter
