PTH: “Different but the Same”

September 6, 2018

Dear PTH Friends,

Wow!!! Your prayers have covered many miles. Since I posted last, your prayers have been to 17 African countries, Jordan, and Israel. Your prayers have also stretched within the great USA (Georgia, North & South Carolina). Thank you, on behalf of Point To Hope Ministries for your faithful prayer coverage. They availed much to God’s glory.

Africa: Nancy and I were clothed with God’s hand of protection, favor, and many divine appointments. Many of our taxi drivers, waiters & waitresses were also pastors. We were even blessed by open doors to pray for many of them, including some of their family members. In each and every country, we could see God’s hand of protection surrounding us. We had our course set before us, but God truly established our steps.

Jordan: One key note about the country of Jordan is that the Lord told Nancy to pray for the peace of Jordan (along with the peace of Israel and America). Why? The Lord specifically said because Jordan is a border of protection for Israel. Thus, as you pray for the peace of America and Israel … remember Jordan as well.

Israel: The primary assignment in Israel was to pray at the new USA Embassy in Jerusalem. Needless to say, our hearts skipped a beat when we saw the street to the embassy lined with the American Flag and the Israeli flag hanging side by side on each lamppost. ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure”’ (Ps. 122:6/NIV).

Georgia, North & South Carolina:
Let me start by saying this: Just driving in Atlanta on a Sunday is a sign of God answering your prayers! Still, the ministry time was very fruitful! The messages the Lord gave Nancy from His Word were powerful and life-changing. The name “Point To Hope” was alive and active – pointing hearts to the One and only hope found in Jesus Christ. This is where the “Great Awakening” starts: revival within each heart!

During this time in the south, the Lord was also directing the path of this ministry as a whole. The Lord told Nancy it will be ‘different but the same’. So what does that mean? Just to share a few details because His plan is still unfolding.

I’ll start by sharing the news that Rose Stransky (also known as Rosebud) decided to resign her position as Assistant Directer for the Georgia area. Rosebud has been a tremendous asset to the PTH team for over 10 years. Rosebud is dearly loved and appreciated by so many and although she has resigned her position (due to health reasons), she is still every much a part of the PTH team. Tom and Debbie Smalley (Lincolnton, GA) have taken up a new position of Regional Directors, and Mary Dykes (North Augusta, SC) is now the Regional Prayer Facilitator. Lorraine Thomas has taken over Rose’s position as Assistant Director for East Georgia. This expansion in PTH is still unfolding, so there will be more to come at a later date. In the mean time, PTH would greatly appreciate your prayer coverage as Nancy follows the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Lord knows the beginning from the end, and this ministry desires to walk step by step according to His will.

Blessings to all and again, Thank You for your faithful prayers!

Sincerely,
Sarah Tarter,
PTH Prayer Facilitator
